MEDIA ALERT: Thomas Friedmanís Free Lecture in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. – February 12, 2009 – Ecotrust, Portland State University and more than 30 other organizations have formed a coalition to bring Pulitzer Prize-winner, columnist, and #1 New York Times bestselling author Thomas Friedman to Portland, Ore. for a lecture on the need for green economic innovation at this time of crisis. In his talk, Friedman will discuss the themes in his bestseller Hot, Flat and Crowded, and ways to create a better future.

Reporters are encouraged to RSVP to Seth Walker and David Santen to reserve their seats in the media section of the Stott Center. Special accommodations are available for television cameras and broadcast recording equipment.
